The Hunt for the Climbing Asparagus

Room 7 students were lucky to have three people from the Taranaki Mounga Project visit their class today. The purpose of the visit was to up skill the students in the use of the app inaturalist. This is an app that assists with finding pest weeds among our native bush. Students had a good look through the enviro centre to see if there was any Climbing Asparagus weed. Fortunately they didn't find any.

Play Presentations

 The Year 5 & 6 team have all been learning how best to present a play. They have been focussing on facing their audience, speaking clearly with expression and getting into the role of their character. We all really enjoyed listening to the plays. Well done team.

Year 5 & 6 Interschool Competition

The Year 5 & 6 teachers were very proud of their team of students and how well they conducted themselves during the interschool games. Thank you to all our supporters who carried out their tasks to the best of their ability. A great afternoon for all involved.

Rippa Rugby Tournament

 It's always such a pleasure to take our Oakura students to tournaments. Once again they represented our school to the best of our ability. 5 teams played today in the Northern Rippa tournament and we came away with three first places and one second place in each of the divisions. Fantastic results - so proud of you all. The A team now looks forward to playing in the next tournament to see which team in the best team in Taranaki. Good luck to them all.
