A big congratulations from Kiwi, who visited our school assembly, to all those students who are checking their traps regularly and ensuring our native birds have the best chance of survival. Keeping the rat population as low as possible is definitely helping. Keep up the good work.

Year 5/6 Interschool Final Competition

Our Year 5/6 Interschool rugby and netball teams proudly represented Oakura School at the recent finals competitions.  They both had tough games - rugby played against Inglewood and netball played against Waitara East. Proud of you all.

Be Seen Day

Oakura School students understand the importance of wearing bright colours when out and about, getting themselves actively to school and other places. They realise that wearing bright colours makes them much more visible to people driving their cars, thereby increasing their chance of not being injured while out and about.

Interschool Games

I felt so proud after observing how well our students hosted Spotswood Primary School at our recent interschool games. The weather played its part with only a few brief showers and a beautiful rainbow. All students gave 100%  effort during their games and we came away with great results. Awesome.
