Interschool Swimming Competition

 The Oakura School 2017 interschool swimming team performed very well today at the Bell Block pool. Everyone gave 100% towards their races and we came away with some great results which included winning the relay. Well done to everyone involved.

Basketball Training

Room 7 had a great time practising their basketball skills with two expert coaches from the Taranaki basketball team. There was lots of laughing and healthy competition as we did our best to dribble the ball correctly.

Vegetable Garden

 Today Room 7 and 5 children were able to eat some produce from their buddy garden. All students agreed that the lettuce leaves tasted delightful, especially when they added them to their vegemite sandwiches. A great buddy class project.

Year 5 & 6 Coastal Athletics Day

 The Year 5 & 6 team had an amazing time at Coastal Taranaki School recently when they took part in the annual athletics day. Everyone did their very best and came away with some good results. Not only that - many students made new friends from the other schools involved. A great day for everyone.

Swimming Sports 2017

Oakura Students were very lucky to have a beautiful day for their annual swimming sports at the Okato pool. Tension was high as students lined up for the house relay. It was such a pleasure to see the high standard of swimming skills. Well done to everyone who took part.
